Each set (4 strings) comes with one extra free 3rd G string (wich is to most often to break) and a free pick. The medium hard strings are good allrounders for all styles, also they are the less painfull for your finger tips. Sound volume and intensity are quite similar to hard strings, softer strings will give you less attack which is often required for softer music styles. Which degree of hardness to take, you will have to decide by experience, preference and according to the music styles you play.
Strings don't fit APC cavaquinhos, or only if the saddle is modified.
