The method "Pandeiro Brasileiro Volume 1" was born out of the authors' desire to write, transmit and spread Brazilian rhythms. In addition to the rhythms, the book contains a number of exercises designed to facilitate the student's technical improvement with the instrument. The various exercises are: Triplets, accents, variations of fingertip and fist as well as studies of the drum roll on the padeiro, which can be introduced either with the fingertips or with thumb/fist. The rhythms discussed in the book are among others: Samba/Choro, Baião, Maracatu, Capoeira and Frevo. A generous taste of Brazil's great rhythmic diversity including compound and irregular rhythms, some of which are not very common in Pandeiro use. Like this the student can develop his abilities on the instrument and learn to listen and play beyond what he is accustomed to. The textbook includes a DVD in five languages (English, French, Spanish, Japanese and Portuguese) and has simplified notation so that even students with low musical abilities can easily access it.
