Frame drums take centre stage - an event that not only pandeiristas will simply love
This is a truly extraordinary event, because it's exclusively about frame drumming!
Workshops and concerts combine the many different aspects of frame drumming as well as the different personalities of the frame drummers. In addition to the originality and roots of the drums, the reference to contemporary music is also important to the event: What is the context of the frame drum in contemporary music, how is it used by different musicians, what new trends and innovative ideas are out there? In addition to the theoretical aspects, the focus is on practice. Teachers from all over the world will share their many years of experience and ways of making music together, whether in pure frame drum ensembles or in combination with other harmony instruments. Listening to each other, learning from each other and discovering new musical spaces on frame drums is what this festival is about.

In the meantime, the Tamburi Mundi Freiburg e.V. association has been founded, whose main concern is to organise the annual festival and all its related activities throughout the year. The association organises Tamburi Mundi mini-festivals as "InBetweens" at regular intervals. For this purpose, musicians are invited to spend a weekend with a workshop and a concert focusing on cultural or instrumental themes.
