A whole weekend dedicated to the small all-rounder drum - the pandeiro! Participants can expect a very intensive workshop that is completely devoted to the most popular Brazilian instrument. The focus will be on modern as well as traditional techniques, such as mixing samba or baião with funk, transferring maracatu rhythms to the pandeiro, and developing new grooves. Techniques from other frame drums are also adopted and learned for this purpose. The possibilities for the little all-rounder pandeiro are endless.
