30 years of Samba Festival in Coburg - Happy Birthday!
From Maracatú and Capoeira to Samba de Enredo, Afro Samba, Samba Reggae - at the Coburg Samba Festival every Brazilian music and percussion enthusiast will find exactly what his heart beats for. Blocos and dance, harmonia, international Samba stars or semi-pros, show bands but also amateur groups have their place and their audience here. For the 30th time our beloved and firmly established Samba event is taking place - and with a heavy heart - this year unfortunately without a Kalango stall. We Kalangos have survived the pandemic fairly well, but suddenly problems have hit us on all fronts. Illness, a bad injury, more than half the team is out. We are currently at our limits with the daily everyday shipping and simply can't manage to run a stand in Coburg. But we will be back - promised!
Time to plan ahead! All sticks and beaters in shape? Spare heads in your luggage? Are you needing a bag or even a drum? We're giving it our everything so that you'll have all the necessary items in time for the festival.
Just a heads up: Important accessories could quickly become hard to come by at the moment. Many of our suppliers are currently in trouble and international cargo shipments are still very much delayed. Have a chat with your band soon about whether you still need any equipment for Coburg and the festival season.
