Samba Syndrom Berlin - an era comes to an end
It's decided: for the 25th time, the Samba Syndrome, affectionately known as SaSy and Berlin's biggest samba festival for a quarter of a century, will take place from 20-22 August 2021 at the Landesmusikakademie Berlin. The beautiful Wuhlheide in the East of the city has already welcomed many a Samba star from Brazil, but also an impressive number of high-level European percussionists. For two and a half decades, the SaSy has been something like a generational school of Samba in Europe.
25 years of Samba Syndrom Berlin - a reason to celebrate
As long as the situation around the pandemic continues to stabilise, the Berliners count on being able to meet in August to drum, dance and party. Of course, the workshops will take place under all current distance rules and other measures.
You can expect a spectacular workshop programme with top-class mestres from all over the world who have shaped the Samba Syndrome over many years and made it the biggest and very much loved Samba festival in Berlin.
We will celebrate the love for Musica Popular Brasileira, a quarter of a century of Samba Syndrome, but also our farewell as it is now time to say good-bye with Brazilian atmosphere and some exciting surprises.
