Brésil Volcanique 20. anniversary

**Join the Celebration! Brésil Volcanique’s 20th Anniversary – A Festive Dive into Brazilian Music and Culture!**

Brésil Volcanique is celebrating 20 years! That’s two decades of bringing Brazilian culture to life in Auvergne, energizing the region with batucada, working in Clermont’s neighborhoods to give kids access to the arts, and creating unforgettable moments of celebration. Join us for a four-day immersion in Brazilian culture, featuring concerts, a samba & maracatu workshop, a documentary screening, and a photo exhibition. Check out the full program!

Experience the vibrant spirit of samba, maracatu, and forró!

Brésil Volcanique, formed in 2004 in the Clermont-Ferrand area, is a collective dedicated to promoting Brazilian culture through music, dance, capoeira, percussion, and language. Today, it is primarily a group of musicians passionate about Brazilian music, performing in various groups and offering both professional and mixed ensembles, including a batucada. The collective hosts weekly percussion and dance workshops, along with regular rehearsals and special workshops featuring Brazilian artists. Brésil Volcanique also organizes events like the Bal des 3 Forró(s) festival and BV no Palco!, celebrating Brazilian music and dance. In 2020, the Maracatu Brésil Volcanique traveled to Recife to deepen their skills and reconnect with the roots of maracatu.

20 years of Brazilian rhythms in the heart of Auvergne!

Le Maracatu du Plateau, a social project by Brésil Volcanique since 2005, provides children and teens from priority neighborhoods in Clermont-Ferrand with access to Brazilian music, dance, and capoeira. Weekly workshops and quarterly gatherings unite young participants with their families and adult musicians, culminating in performances by the Maracatu du Plateau. Supported by local and regional organizations, the project also received awards from the Fondation de France and backing from the SNCF Foundation.

Workshops, live performances, and a fun parade
