It is a musical VIP, as it brings in its very own energy. If played virtuosic you will not believe your ears. Nor will you be able to stay seated - its rhythm pushes and produces an incredible swing, above all by its contra rhythms which are played with one hand on the outside of the shell. To play, you put the instrument sidewards on you lap, basically just like a rebolo or a tan tan. Or you can play standing up. With one hand you play the typical Partido Alto rhythms whilst the other hand gives contra with the complementary rhythms. The rhythmic contruct is percussive at a high grade and - typical Brazilian - most of the beats are placed somewhere offbeat. The swing will let you leap to your feet wanting to dance!
The 11" repique de mão by Timbra is made of polished aluminium and has a chromed comfort rim.

En 2010, Izzo obtuvo su gran éxito al lanzar la nueva marca bandera TIMBRA TOP PERCUSSION.
Los instrumentos de TIMBRA han sido desarrollados en estrecha cooperación con varios percusionistas renombrados. Como objetivo central tenían instrumentos para escenario que convencían en cuanto a su calidad de sonido tanto como con su diseño. Establecían nuevos estándares a traves de sus timbals de 16 tensores, diseños extraordinarios y un sonido espectacular.
TIMBRA construye todo tipo de instrumentos de samba, desde surdos de madera y aluminio, cuicas, rebolos hasta tantans y timbals. Un especial atractivo fue una de las primeras líneas de la marca - la serie signatura Carlinhos Brown con timbaus y bacuriñas con elaborados estampados a color y diseños en vinilo. La alta calidad de la mano de obra, los sonidos auténticos y los diseños llamativos siguen siendo las principales marcas de TIMBRA.
