After a long wait with ongoing supply gaps and transport shortages in Brazil, our much-awaited instrument delivery from GOPE has finally arrived! We've been busy all week registering the new drums in our warehouse, now everything is online for you!
GOPE is a family business from the metropolitan area of São Paulo. Today, the company is run by the granddaughter of the founder in the third generation. The GOPE brand has been producing drums and small percussion instruments for over 50 years. When GOPE was founded, there was already a small workshop where drums were manufactured. In 1962, the production of the typical Samba instruments began, initiated by Humberto Rodella, the son of the company founder. GOPE produces a wide range of percussion instruments, from the agogô to the zabumba, and for several years now also various wind and string instruments. GOPE has always sought contact with musicians in order to incorporate the suggestions and proposals for change gained during their engagements into the development of new instruments and the improvement of production. GOPE is particularly popular in Europe for its lightweight instruments, especially surdos, caixas, repiniques and timbals.
