Berimbau Médio - high-quality Capoeira berimbau by Mestre Negão

Unique artisanal Capoeira instruments made with particular attention to detail and sound quality. Mestre Negão only uses components that harmonise well in sound and also sound wonderfully together in the set of 3. In order to create a well-sounding bow instrument from relatively raw natural materials, a lot of experience and actual trying out is required. A berimbau médio comes with a medium-sized cabaça and thus plays the medium voice. The verga has a mark for the positioning of the cabaça and thus the ideal sound.
Caxixi, baqueta and pedra are included.

A berimbau is a musical bow with an odd sound that is an indispensable part of any roda de Capoeira. It was created from a bow and arrow and is regarded as one of the first stringed instruments in the world.
Mestre Negão is a capoeirista and instrument maker from São Paulo, where he runs his small workshop and builds beautiful, very high-quality instruments.

Amazingly beautiful berimbau..

27 Jan 2018

Buena relación calidad precio.

21 Jun 2017

Klingt toll. Bogen ist kein Naturholz. Erhöht dadurch aber sicher die Haltbarkeit.

Answer by Kalango

Der Bogen ist aus dem Naturholz Guatambu. Das Holz sieht recht gleichförmig aus. Das mag Deinen Eindruck getäuscht haben.

22 May 2017

Das Instrument sieht sehr gut aus und alle zusätzlichen Teile wie Caxixi, Baqueta sowie ein Stein waren vorhanden.

11 Dec 2016

String was very short, but with another one it sounded great. Good caxixi, decent bagueta.

Hervorragende Verarbeitung und Klang

28 Oct 2016

Bon berimbau, par contre les accessoires sont trop simples: le galet devrait être remplacé par un dobrao
La baguette est trop brute, il faudrait qu'elle soit au-moins vernie ou huilée.

Answer by Kalango

Nous vendons aussi des dobraos, le kit même vient avec le galet, ce que nous signalons dans la description. À cause de la baguette nous parleront avec notre fabricant pour que nous vous puissions offrir les meilleurs produits possibles.

"Mestre Negao"

Mestre Negão from São Paulo

Eduardo Rodrigues, well known in the Capoeira scene as Mestre Negão from São Paulo, has become one of the very important characters in Capoeira, mainly through his Capoeira event ‚Vadeia Samba’, but also with his high-grade artisanal instruments and his very kind personality. He constantly tries to connect capoeiristas from differnet styles and groups. He has his workshop in São Paulo - no more than a single room in a small house, this is where he makes his instruments.
His atabaques are of exstremely good quality and his artisanal skills create demanding and beautiful instruments with traditional rope tuning systems.
