The banjo replaces or complements the acoustic cavaquinho, especially in Pagode music and in smaller Samba ensembles, where the cavaquinho can't be heard so well amongst the other percussions instruments. The Brazilian banjo is tuned just like a cavaco, but sounds much more present and louder due to its larger body. It has an 8'' goatskin resonating skin that additionally amplifies the tone. Because the banjo has a bigger body than a cavaquinho and is built differently, too, the banjo naturally weighs a bit more than a cavaco.
This professional banjo by Rozini convinces by its high quality making, very nice workmanship and a loud, mid-emphasized, very balanced and warm sound. The neck has a very strong, but pleasantly playable D-profile. The built-in piezo ensures stage suitability!

In Brazil, people not only play drums and percussion:
The most common instrument is probably the acoustic guitar. No matter if traditional 6-string guitar or like preferred in Samba and Choro with 7 strings, ROZINI has the righ instruments.
